When it was MJ, it was easy [to put my UNC rivalry aside],
Banchero said. That was wild I think because during that time I was figuring out where I was gonna sign a shoe deal and all that. It was between Adidas and Jordan.
Crawford told Banchero that Michael Jordan had specifically reached out about him.
… He was like, ‘Michael Jordan, don’t ever call me.’ He was like, ‘So the fact that he called me to talk about you, like, man, he really wants you to be part of Jordan.’ And I was like, ‘Damn, for real.’ He was like, ‘Yeah, man. He called me and said he loves your game. Love that you’re about the right stuff.’ He said, ‘We got to get you to the brand.’ Sh*t, that’s, that’s all you had to say. I signed with Jordan.
