Justice Fitzpatrick Narrows Top 5 Schools: Georgia, Florida, Ohio State, Texas, Miami in Recruiting Update
Justice Fitzpatrick narrows recruiting to five schools: Georgia, Florida, Ohio State, Texas, and Miami this summer.

High school cornerback Justice Fitzpatrick has announced his top five schools as he prepares for the next stage of his football career. The St. Thomas Aquinas standout revealed Georgia, Florida, Ohio State, Texas, and Miami as the finalists in his recruitment process.

Fitzpatrick, a four-star prospect listed at 6-foot and 185 pounds, is considered one of the nation’s premier players at his position. He ranks fourth nationally among cornerbacks, fifth in Florida, and is the 34th overall recruit in the 2026 class according to On3. As a junior, he made significant contributions with 34 tackles, seven pass breakups, and two interceptions, helping his team secure the Florida 5A state championship. Beyond football, Fitzpatrick has shown speed on the track, recording a personal best of 10.76 seconds in the 100-meter dash.

Strong Family Legacy and Recruitment Influences

Justice comes from a football family with an impressive pedigree. His older brother, Minkah Fitzpatrick, earned two All-American honors as a defensive back at Alabama while playing under former coach Nick Saban. After winning the Jim Thorpe Award and Chuck Bednarik Award in 2017, Minkah was selected 11th overall by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 2018 NFL Draft, where he has been named to five Pro Bowls and earned First-Team All-Pro honors three times. Georgia head coach Kirby Smart, who once served as Alabama’s defensive coordinator during Minkah’s time there, is recruiting Justice and will host him for an official visit this weekend.

Upcoming Official Visits and Recruitment Timeline

Following the official visit to Georgia, Fitzpatrick plans to take official visits to Miami on June 6 and Texas on June 13. Earlier this year, in March, Miami, Florida, and Ohio State welcomed him for unofficial visits. These visits will provide Fitzpatrick with opportunities to evaluate each program as he moves closer to making his final decision.

The Significance of Fitzpatrick’s Decision

Justice Fitzpatrick’s final choice will attract significant attention given his high ranking and family background. His commitment could bolster a team’s defensive backfield for years to come, especially considering the success of his brother and the high hopes placed on him throughout the recruiting process. With official visits underway and more on the horizon, the next few weeks will be pivotal in his decision-making as college programs strive to secure one of the nation’s top cornerbacks.
