The 2025 UEFA Champions League Final took place over the weekend at Munich’s Allianz Arena, drawing a crowd filled with celebrities and sports stars. Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson attended the match for the first time in Europe, soaking in the vibrant fan culture and atmosphere surrounding the event.
Robinson witnessed Paris Saint-Germain’s dominant 5-0 victory over Inter Milan at the final, sharing his impressions of the passionate fans with CBS Sports. While familiar with European soccer from games held in the United States, this was his initial experience attending a European stadium event.
A Contrast Between European Soccer Fans and NFL Crowds
Robinson highlighted the differences in fan behavior between the UEFA Champions League and NFL games. He noted how European supporters gather hours before kickoff, filling stadiums with singing and celebrations long before the match starts. This contrasts with typical NFL fan arrival times, as many arrive just minutes before kickoff.
“We [can] see so many fans in the crowd, and the game doesn’t start for another two hours,”
Robinson remarked at the finals. He added,
“In the NFL, fans will get there when the game kind of starts, they’ll get there like 30 minutes before, but everybody is singing over here, they’re parting with their own fans, and they’re so ready for the game.”
This infectious enthusiasm impressed Robinson, who believes the NFL could benefit from adopting similar fan engagement strategies found overseas.
Robinson’s Vision for NFL Fan Culture Growth
Reflecting on the pregame experience at the Champions League final, Robinson called the atmosphere “crazy” and emphasized the high level of passion among European soccer fans. He expressed hope that the NFL continues its growth and can someday match that level of excitement and devotion.

As he put it,
“The experience outside the stadium, that was crazy in itself. I think the passion is unbelievable. Obviously, we want the NFL to be like that, and they are every single day, every single year, they’re growing.”
Robinson’s Activities in Germany and Upcoming NFL Game
In addition to attending the soccer final, Robinson was in Germany to promote his mustard brand, Bijan Mustardson—also called The Official Dijon of Bijon—a venture he launched several years ago. His presence at the Allianz Arena also came ahead of his Falcons’ Week 10 NFL game against the Indianapolis Colts, which will be played at the Berlin Olympic Stadium.
The upcoming game in Berlin marks a rare international NFL matchup and allows Robinson to continue engaging with European sports fans and culture.
Match Highlights and Historic Outcome at the UEFA Final
The Champions League final itself was marked by Paris Saint-Germain’s clear dominance over Inter Milan. PSG led 2-0 at halftime and outshot Inter 13-2 in the first half, finishing with a 23-8 edge in shots by full time. Désiré Doué scored twice and earned Man of the Match honors as PSG increased their tally to five unanswered goals in the second half.
Robinson had initially predicted an Inter Milan win, but the match’s outcome underscored Paris Saint-Germain’s superiority and delivered one of the largest margins of victory in final history.
