Buccaneers’ Rachaad White Sparks Buzz with “Last Ride” Social Media Post—Coach Bowles Responds Calmly

Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles expressed no concern regarding running back Rachaad White’s recent social media post mentioning a “last ride.” White’s post has drawn attention, but Bowles said he does not follow Twitter and prefers to focus on the team’s preparation. The coach emphasized White’s solid contributions and commitment during practices as the team moves forward.

Bowles explained,

“I don’t know what that means because I don’t have twitter, first of all. Last ride, for me, is kind of like The Magnificent Seven and going into those types of deals. I don’t know what different things mean. I think Rachaad has been here, he’s been great, he plays hard, he practices hard. We’re going to need all three of [the running backs]. I’m not really into tweets,”

Updates from Other NFL Teams: Falcons and Panthers

Meanwhile, the Falcons’ offensive coordinator Zac Robinson provided an update on quarterback Kirk Cousins’ participation during voluntary OTAs. Robinson noted Cousins has been present intermittently as he adjusts to his routine heading into the season.

  • “Yeah, there’s been days, you know, Kirk’s kind of in and out. Just getting his own rhythm going. But you know, most of the guys have been here…obviously it’s voluntary.” —Zac Robinson, Falcons Offensive Coordinator

At the Panthers camp, wide receiver Adam Thielen praised first-round pick Tetairoa McMillan’s ability to secure contested catches and his versatility across the field. Thielen highlighted how McMillan’s skills could create opportunities not only for himself but also for the other receivers on the roster.

“He’s a big long receiver that has phenomenal body control and can make contested catches and can play a lot of different spots,” —Adam Thielen, Panthers Wide Receiver

“Which in this league, in my opinion, to be a great receiver in this league, you have to be able to play in the slot, you have to be able to play outside, you have to be able to run a lot of different routes and make contested catches. So, from the little I’ve seen, he’s that guy. It only benefits everyone else because if he can move around, I can move around, you know, Jalen Coker can move around, Xavier Legette can move around.” —Adam Thielen, Panthers Wide Receiver

Looking Ahead to the NFL Season

As teams continue voluntary workouts and training activities across the league, attention remains on player readiness and roster composition. While social media posts like Rachaad White’s can spark speculation, coaches like Todd Bowles maintain a focus on performance and teamwork. Meanwhile, players such as Kirk Cousins, Tetairoa McMillan, and others seek to build momentum as the regular season approaches. Fans and analysts alike will watch closely to see how these developments unfold.
