Coco Gauff celebrates her French Open victory, receiving heartfelt congratulations from Iga Swiatek for her remarkable achievement.

Iga Swiatek recently shared warm congratulations to Coco Gauff and Carlos Alcaraz following their impressive victories at the 2025 French Open. Swiatek, the former champion, reflected on her own tournament experience and expressed admiration for the new titleholders’ outstanding performances on Paris’s clay courts.

The Polish star aimed to make history by securing her fourth consecutive French Open title. However, her journey ended in the semifinals where she was defeated 7-6(1), 4-6, 6-0 by Aryna Sabalenka. Gauff then overcame Sabalenka in a thrilling final, winning 6-7(5), 6-2, 6-4 to claim her first Grand Slam title on clay.

Though Swiatek’s tournament ended earlier than hoped, she highlighted the hard work she and her team invested throughout the event and the valuable lessons she took away from the competition. She also announced that she would soon begin preparing for the upcoming grass court season.

“Thank you Paris and @rolandgarros! It’s been an amazing time on and off the court with some great challenges and high quality matches. I’m very proud of the work we put together with my team and I definitely also learned some lessons. Every year in Paris gives me energy boost for the rest of the season and with that being said I’m starting my preparation to the grass season very, very soon,”

Swiatek wrote on Instagram.

Swiatek also praised Gauff and Alcaraz for the mesmerizing tennis they delivered throughout the tournament, extending her congratulations on their victories. Gauff responded by expressing gratitude for Swiatek’s kind words, showing mutual respect among the rising and established stars.

“Thank you so much iga:)!,” Gauff commented.

Upcoming Tournament Plans for Gauff, Swiatek, and Alcaraz
