Major League Baseball’s All-Star balloting opened recently, and Cubs outfielders Kyle Tucker and Pete Crow-Armstrong have emerged as frontrunners for starting positions. As of the latest tally released Monday, Tucker and Crow-Armstrong head the National League outfield vote totals, highlighting strong fan support for the two young athletes.
Pete Crow-Armstrong ranks third overall among all National League vote-getters, trailing only Shohei Ohtani of the Angels and Freddie Freeman of the Dodgers. This early momentum places him in a strong position as the first phase of voting progresses.
Cubs Players Showing Solid Support Across Multiple Positions
Alongside Tucker and Crow-Armstrong, several other Cubs are performing well in the initial fan vote results. Carson Kelly sits second among catchers, trailing behind Will Smith. At first base, Michael Busch holds third place following Freeman and Pete Alonso. Nico Hoerner is third at second base, positioning behind Ketel Marte and Tommy Edman. Infielders Dansby Swanson and Matt Shaw rank fifth and fourth at shortstop and third base, respectively. Ian Happ appears in 11th place among outfielders, while Seiya Suzuki is currently the second-highest vote-getter at designated hitter, behind Ohtani.
Notably, Suzuki’s position may shift due to Rafael Devers’ recent trade to the Giants, which reshapes the competition for designated hitter votes.
