Tyler Reddick Debuts Superman NASCAR Trading Card Set Ahead of EchoPark Speedway Race

Upper Deck, in partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products, introduced a unique trading card set that links DC Studios’ upcoming Superman film with the 23XI Racing NASCAR team. This new release marks the first time Upper Deck has produced collectibles specifically for 23XI Racing, expanding their collaboration which started earlier in 2024.

The initial batch of cards provides a sneak peek at the Superman x 23XI race car that Tyler Reddick will drive at EchoPark Speedway on June 28. These trading cards and the special race car make their debut ahead of the nationwide release of Superman, directed and written by James Gunn, which is set for July 11.

Details on the Trading Card Drops and Race Day Event

Collectors can buy the first series of the trading cards featuring the custom race car design through Upper Deck’s e-Pack platform, an online marketplace for trading cards and collectibles. The second series is scheduled for release on race day, June 28, providing fans multiple opportunities to engage with the set.

The Superman themed No. 45 Toyota Camry XSE will compete at the EchoPark Speedway, the venue formerly known as Atlanta Motor Speedway, with the race starting at 7 p.m. ET. Broadcast coverage will be available through TNT, the Performance Racing Network, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.

he said.

“We continue to expand our footprint in the sports collectibles industry, bringing different sports to the forefront with innovative collecting experiences that fans and collectors can’t find anywhere else. I can’t wait to see how Superman and racing fans react to these first trading cards with the 23XI collectible license in conjunction with NASCAR.”

Steve Lauletta, President of 23XI Racing, also shared his enthusiasm about connecting with supporters:

“Our goal at 23XI is always to raise the bar and connect with fans in creative ways, including how they collect and engage with our drivers,”

Lauletta explained.

“Through our relationship with Upper Deck, we continue to deliver unique experiences that fans can cherish forever.”

Significance of the Collaboration and What Lies Ahead

This initiative represents a significant crossover between the worlds of motorsport and the DC cinematic universe, aiming to attract collectors of both NASCAR and superhero memorabilia. The launch of the Tyler Reddick Superman NASCAR Trading Card Set not only creates a new collectible niche but also enhances fan engagement ahead of the high-profile race and blockbuster film.

With the race car and cards debuting before the film’s premiere, this partnership is expected to increase visibility for both the 23XI team and the Superman movie, providing a fresh, interactive way for fans to connect with their favorite drivers and characters alike.
