Justin JJ Edwards, a linebacker from Orlando’s Edgewater High School, has changed his college commitment from Rutgers University to the University of Miami. This decision makes Edwards the 14th recruit to join Mario Cristobal’s Hurricanes, contributing to a class ranked ninth nationally by On3 Industry.

A Natural Fit with Miami’s Culture and System

Edwards, standing 6-foot-2 and weighing 205 pounds, expressed his connection to the Hurricanes’ environment.

“The coaching staff, the players, environment you know I’m a Florida boy so it feels like home,”

he said.

“What made me want to commit was how well I fit into the scheme, and when we were at Coach Cristobal’s house that’s when I really felt like this is home. Also how much I bonded with the players too.”
