Keegan Bradley capitalizes on a perfect drive, setting up a solid birdie chance at the Travelers Championship.

During the closing round of the Travelers Championship, Tommy Fleetwood showed signs of early nerves as his approach shot came up well past the flag. After a decent attempt with his first putt, Fleetwood narrowly missed his par putt on the left side, resulting in a bogey. This misstep trimmed his lead and put him at 15-under par as the players moved toward the par-4 fourth hole, known as the toughest on the course.

Keegan Bradley Positions Himself for a Birdie Opportunity

Keegan Bradley, the U.S. Ryder Cup Captain, demonstrated solid focus in the initial holes of the final round. Following an excellent drive, Bradley landed a wedge shot approximately 11 feet from the pin, setting up a promising birdie chance that could help close the gap on Fleetwood. Meanwhile, both Fleetwood and Russell Henley found the green but landed their balls well beyond the flagstick. Bradley’s birdie attempt narrowly missed, and he settled for par alongside Henley, leaving them at 14 and 13 under par respectively.

Shifts in Momentum on the Early Holes

Russell Henley made a strong start with a birdie on the opening hole but stumbled on the second, overshooting the green and missing his par putt after an unsteady chip shot, resulting in a bogey. Conversely, Fleetwood nearly reached eagle range on the second hole with a spectacular approach, then confidently rolled in a birdie putt. Bradley matched Fleetwood’s birdie on this hole, placing Fleetwood at 16-under, Bradley at 14-under, and Henley trailing at 13-under.

Current Standings as the Final Group Advances

The final round is underway with Fleetwood’s overnight lead narrowing from three shots to just one. Forced to punch out of thick rough early on, Fleetwood was unable to save par and dropped to 15-under. Russell Henley, meanwhile, capitalized with a birdie on the opening hole to close the gap. With 17 holes still to play, Fleetwood leads by a single stroke over Henley, while Bradley remains in pursuit just two shots behind the leader.
