Jessica Pegula made a striking impression with her stylish appearance at the Bad Homburg Open playersparty, where top women’s tennis players gathered ahead of the tournament. Alongside Pegula, other notable participants such as Iga Swiatek and Mirra Andreeva also attended the event, held as part of the women-only grass-court competition in Germany.

Iga Swiatek, who recently lost her World No. 1 status, is preparing to play her opening match at the Bad Homburg Open against either Aryna Sabalenka or wildcard Laura Siegemund. Swiatek’s presence, along with that of several other rising and established stars, added to the evening’s allure.

The event drew attention not only for the tennis talent but also for the players’ fashion choices on display. Jessica Pegula stood out in an elegant and minimalist white coordinated outfit, paired with subtle accessories that complemented her look. Swiatek opted for a more casual style, wearing a graphic t-shirt and brown pants, accessorized with sunglasses, projecting a relaxed vibe.

Young Russian player Mirra Andreeva chose a dark blue shirt with matching shorts, while Diana Shnaider donned a blue-and-white striped dress complemented by a floral clutch. The social atmosphere was further enriched by moments like the one shared between Marta Kostyuk and Eva Lys at a games corner during the event.

Iga Swiatek reflects on rankings and competition in women’s tennis

Iga Swiatek, known as the first Polish player to capture a major singles title, spoke candidly about her recent dip in rankings following a less successful run at the 2025 Italian Open. Despite her current standing outside the top two, Swiatek expressed that she remains focused on her preparation rather than on rankings themselves.

“It’s not like I think about it every day. My perspective doesn’t change in this context. Even when I was the leader, I always said that I didn’t look at the rankings. And it still is. However, when I came back in February after the Australian Open, I actually had a moment when I felt a lot of bitterness about how I lost that ranking. But then I focused on work. I think that many people got used to being higher in the ranking, and I did too for a while.” —Iga Swiatek, Tennis Player

Swiatek described how increased competition among players has made the sport less predictable, emphasizing the ongoing evolution of the game.

“But sports work a bit differently. Anyone with common sense knows that not everything is constant in sports. Other girls are developing too, there is constant competition. I won’t always be first. However, on a daily basis, when I work, train, play matches, I don’t think about it at all.” —Iga Swiatek, Tennis Player

Swiatek aims to regain form on grass before Wimbledon

This year marks Swiatek’s first tournament on grass, as she uses the Bad Homburg Open to adjust to the surface ahead of Wimbledon, the third Grand Slam tournament of the season. The Polish player has historically excelled on clay, winning the French Open four times. However, her performance on grass courts will be crucial as she seeks to regain momentum in the women’s tour.

The Bad Homburg Open thus represents an important step in Swiatek’s campaign to remain a leading contender in women’s tennis, as well as a chance for Jessica Pegula and other top players to showcase their talent and style both on and off the court.
