Nolan Siegel from Arrow McLaren is set to work alongside Kyle Moyer, a seasoned strategist who previously worked with Team Penske. Starting with the upcoming Honda Indy 200 at Mid-Ohio, Moyer will take on the role of strategist for Siegel, marking a significant change in the team’s approach this season. This new Nolan Siegel Kyle Moyer partnership has generated optimism as both prepare to join forces on track.
Moyer brings to the table a wealth of experience, having served as Scott McLaughlin’s strategist at Team Penske in Mooresville, North Carolina. His reputation within the sport precedes him, with a diverse career spanning over 30 years. In 2019, Moyer advanced to the role of General Manager for Penske’s Chevrolet-backed NTT IndyCar program, underscoring his deep understanding of race strategy and team management.
“I’ve never met Kyle, but, I’ll meet him this week, try and spend a lot of time with him, get to know him, and I’ve heard nothing but good things. Obviously, I’ve heard of him, known of him, and I’m very very excited to get to work with him. That’s a huge pleasure and learning opportunity for me,” Siegel said via IndyCar on FOX (0:44 onwards).
Strong Recovery at Road America Demonstrates Siegel’s Potential
Before teaming up with Moyer, Nolan Siegel delivered a notable performance at the 2025 XPEL Grand Prix held at Road America on June 22. The race was marked by chaos, with multiple incidents causing drivers to hit the barriers. Despite beginning the 55-lap event from 13th on the grid, Siegel skillfully navigated the challenging environment and finished in a commendable eighth place.
The event showcased intense battles among leading drivers, many of whom faced setbacks. Siegel, however, capitalized on these moments, steadily advancing through the field. His ability to maintain composure amid frequent crashes highlighted his racing maturity and promise as an emerging talent within Arrow McLaren.

“We had a solid day today, and we had a fast car. We ended up on a funky strategy, and I thought we were going to finish 25th the whole time but ended up on the last stint passing a bunch of cars. The stand was telling me I was 10th, ninth and then eighth and I was like, ‘alright, don’t know where that came from.’ It was nice to find ourselves in that position and have things go our way a bit.”
Looking Ahead to Mid-Ohio and the Future of the Partnership
The upcoming Honda Indy 200 at Mid-Ohio represents a fresh opportunity for Siegel and Moyer to establish a strong working rhythm. As Round 10 of the season approaches, expectations are high for the duo to leverage their combined expertise to deliver competitive results. The involvement of Tony Kanaan, who leads the Arrow McLaren team, adds further strategic depth to the effort.
The Nolan Siegel Kyle Moyer partnership signals a pivotal moment for both the driver and the team. With Moyer’s strategic insight and Siegel’s racing abilities, there is hope that their collaboration will foster significant growth and success throughout the remainder of the IndyCar season. Fans and insiders alike will be watching closely to see how this alliance unfolds on the track.
