Pocono has delivered for us in terms of fans, but when you look at opportunities, one of the places we looked was Franklin Field.
He further explained that while planning remains preliminary, the logistical feasibility of creating a temporary course in an urban setting is a critical factor in their evaluation process.
Alongside Philadelphia, NASCAR intends to establish a street course in the San Diego area for the upcoming season. This effort aligns with the organization’s goal to regain footing in Southern California, a region historically significant to the sport. The move would be NASCAR’s first points-paying event in the area since the California Speedway in Fontana closed indefinitely in 2023.
