Dallas Goedert Seals New Contract, Vows Loyalty to Philadelphia Eagles and Super Bowl Dreams

The Philadelphia Eagles secured tight end Dallas Goedert with the 49th overall pick in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft, and despite speculation that his tenure might be ending, Goedert agreed to a new contract with the team earlier this offseason. This agreement ensures the veteran tight end remains a key part of the Eagles’ roster as they strive for future Super Bowl success.

Goedert expressed his strong connection to Philadelphia, highlighting his positive relationship with everyone involved in the organization.

“I got a lot of love for the city of Philadelphia, the ownership all the way to the cooks in the building. I got a great relationship with all of them,”

Goedert said on ESPN’s NFL Live from Tight End University.

“So, I figured for me it was best to work out a deal, so I could stay there and be with the people I find that are important and try to win another one.”

A Valuable Contributor Amid Challenges and Expectations

Goedert joined the Eagles just after their Super Bowl LII victory, so he was not part of the championship roster. However, his time with the team has been significant, as he quickly filled a critical role after the departure of former tight end Zach Ertz. Despite missing games due to a knee injury last season, Goedert achieved 496 receiving yards and two touchdowns in only 10 games, winning the admiration of Eagles fans.

Now 30 years old, Goedert is focused on helping Philadelphia defend their Lombardi Trophy in the upcoming 2025 season, reinforcing the team’s status as a top contender in the NFL.

Goedert’s Growth Influenced by NFL Peers

Throughout his career, Dallas Goedert has credited fellow tight ends for shaping his development and impact on the field, acknowledging mentors who inspired his approach to the game. This mindset aligns with his commitment to Philly’s evolving team culture, combining talent with strong personal ties to the city and organization.
