Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and tight end Travis Kelce are preparing for their ninth NFL season together, aiming to secure their fourth Super Bowl victory. The pairing remains a central force as the Chiefs gear up for the 2025 campaign.
Mahomes and Kelce Cement Their Status Among NFL’s Elite
Patrick Mahomes has consistently demonstrated excellence, leading the Chiefs to the AFC Championship Game every year since becoming the starting quarterback. Meanwhile, Travis Kelce has set numerous postseason records, including holding the record for the most Super Bowl receptions with 35. Their sustained success has earned them recognition as two of the league’s best at their respective positions.
ESPN recently honored both players by including them in its NFL All-Quarter Century team. Mahomes was named the third-best quarterback behind Tom Brady and Peyton Manning. Kelce received the ranking of second-best tight end, just behind Rob Gronkowski, with former Chiefs star Tony Gonzalez also making the list in third place.
Kansas City Chiefs Receive Multiple Honors from ESPN
In total, eight individuals associated with the Chiefs were selected for ESPN’s All-Quarter Century team, spanning current and former players as well as staff. Other honorees include running back Priest Holmes (No. 1), edge rusher Jared Allen (No. 2), defensive tackle Chris Jones (No. 3), and cornerback Darrelle Revis (No. 1).
