Julian Reese’s collegiate impact and Lakers Summer League role

During his senior season, Julian played an important role in Maryland’s run to the Sweet 16, averaging 13.3 points, 9.0 rebounds, and 1.3 assists. The 6-foot-9 forward is set to join a Lakers Summer League roster that includes second-round pick Adou Thiero and several undrafted signees such as RJ Davis, Eric Dixon, and Augustas Marčiulionis.

Julian will make his Lakers Summer League debut on July 10 against the Dallas Mavericks at 8 p.m. ET, with the game airing on ESPN.

Significance of the new chapter for the Reese family

Angel Reese’s continued success as a WNBA rebound leader combined with Julian’s move to the Lakers highlights the family’s basketball talent. Julian’s opportunity in the NBA Summer League could be a pivotal step toward establishing his professional career, while Angel remains a standout player in the WNBA. The Reese siblings’ parallel paths offer promising futures in professional basketball, with observers watching closely as Julian begins his Lakers journey and Angel builds on her rookie achievements.
