Corey Heim Dominates Lime Rock Park for Fifth NASCAR Truck Series Win of the Season

Corey Heim and TRICON Garage are showcasing an extraordinary run in the 2025 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season. On Saturday at Lime Rock Park, Heim, a native of Marietta, Georgia, clinched his fifth win of the year by dominating the inaugural LiUNA! 150 event.

Driving the No. 11 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro, Heim led for 99 out of 100 laps in the race, losing the lead only during the final restart when Layne Riggs briefly took first place at the start-finish line.

Final Restart Brings Drama and Challenges

Although Layne Riggs momentarily challenged for the lead in his No. 34 Ford F-150, he slid wide entering Turn 1 on the last restart, causing confusion among several drivers. This mishap forced competitors like Rajah Caruth, Jordan Taylor, Connor Mosack, and Thomas Annunziata off the racing line, resulting in lost track positions with fewer than 10 laps to go.

Corey Heim Reflects on Road Course Success

Heim expressed his satisfaction after the race, emphasizing his preparation and the significance of the victory. He stated,

“It’s nothing short of incredible. These road courses, I really look forward to them, you know, pre-event and whatnot, and prepare pretty hard for them, so to see that all pay off with Safelite TRICON Toyota is pretty special,”

he said.

“Can’t complain one bit about that, had a flawless day, and take that and move forward and try to collect some wins we probably should have had this year.”

The win marks Heim’s 16th career victory in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series and his 14th with crew chief Scott Zipadelli.

Race Standings and Notable Finishes

The chaotic final restart reshuffled the field, but defending series champion Ty Majeski managed to secure second place driving the No. 98 Ford F-150. Gio Ruggiero, a strong contender for Rookie of the Year, finished third, demonstrating his rising talent.

ThorSport Racing’s Ben Rhodes and Cam Waters rounded out the top five, securing fourth and fifth places respectively, while Chandler Smith came in sixth.

Josh Bilicki, competing in his first of three outings for Niece Motorsports, earned a career-best seventh place behind the wheel of the No. 44 Chevrolet Silverado RST. Brent Crews followed in eighth, with McAnally-Hilgemann Racing teammates Daniel Hemric and Tyler Ankrum completing the top ten.

Standings and Upcoming Schedule

With only three races remaining before the regular season concludes, Corey Heim holds a commanding 140-point lead over Chandler Smith in the championship standings. The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series will pause for nearly a month before resuming at Indianapolis Raceway Park on July 25, setting the stage for the final stretch of the season.
