Josh Jacobs hosted his first youth football camp in Green Bay, where he witnessed outstanding athletic ability among the participants. The Packers running back specifically noted the impressive skills shown by many girls during the event, highlighting their unexpected football prowess.
The 2025 Youth Football Camp, open to children ages 7 to 16, took place on a Friday night at Titletown’s football field. Jacobs was joined by Miami Dolphins fullback Alec Ingold to lead the camp focused on developing essential football techniques.
During the Saturday session, Jacobs spoke with reporters to reflect on the day. He observed the young athletes as they worked on position-specific skills and fundamentals designed to boost their confidence and understanding of the game.
“Man, it’s been fun,” he said, according to Matt Schneidman. “It’s a lot of athletes out there that caught me by surprise. A lot of, you know, little girls out here actually can ball, so that’s good to see. That’s good for the game.”

Jacobs Highlights the Importance of Community in Green Bay
Jacobs connected his effort to the strong community support he received during his first season with the Packers. Coming from Alabama, he wanted to give back to the fans and supporters who welcomed him to Wisconsin.
He pointed out that the Packers’ unique ownership model fosters a strong bond between the team and its fans, who invest deeply in the organization’s success both emotionally and financially.
“Obviously, with the Packers being one of the only teams without an owner, a lot of the community pours into the Packers and what we do on a day-to-day basis,” Jacobs said.

“So to be able to give back in a small way, and to be able to have these kids have fun and play this game that we love with somebody that they recognize, I think is huge.”

The camp was designed as a no-contact, skill-building event aimed at helping kids enjoy the game while improving core football abilities. Jacobs held it just before the Packers began their preseason preparations, with new players scheduled to arrive mid-July.
During his debut season with Green Bay, Jacobs delivered an impressive performance, surpassing 1,600 yards from scrimmage and scoring 16 touchdowns, solidifying his role as a key offensive player.
By hosting the camp, Jacobs demonstrated his commitment to fostering youth development and community engagement, further strengthening the connection between the team and its fans as the new season approaches.
