Sean Strickland's presence ignited chaos at Tuff-N-Uff as he confronted Luis Hernandez after a shocking submission victory.

Sean Strickland, known for stirring controversy, was involved in a chaotic scene at the Tuff-N-Uff 145 event held Sunday at The Theater at the SAHARA in Las Vegas. The former UFC middleweight champion was cornering Miles Hunsinger during his middleweight bout against Luis Hernandez when tensions escalated abruptly.

After Hernández secured a submission victory with a standing guillotine, he directed provocations toward Hunsinger’s corner by performing a crotch chop gesture reminiscent of the D-Generation X wrestling faction. This act prompted Strickland, accompanied by his Xtreme Couture teammate Chris Curtis, to enter the cage unexpectedly, surprising Hernandez who initially had his back turned.

Escalation Between Fighters and Officials

Chris Curtis appeared to approach Hernandez in an aggressive but verbal manner, while Strickland took a more physical approach by throwing two right-hand punches before an official intervened, grabbing Strickland and pulling him away. Hernandez narrowly avoided the punches by ducking and covering, then responded with a smirk and sticking out his tongue, exchanging further taunts with Curtis.

Both fighters come from notable backgrounds: Hernandez remains undefeated from Florida, while Hunsinger has prior experience competing in LFA and PFL, marking his return to action after a hiatus since 2022.

Possible Repercussions Under Nevada Athletic Commission Oversight

Given that Strickland was serving as a licensed second in the fighter’s corner for the event, he is subject to review and potential disciplinary measures by the Nevada Athletic Commission. The commission is likely to investigate the circumstances surrounding the cage invasion and physical confrontation.

Strickland has not fought since his defeat in the rematch against middleweight champion Dricus Du Plessis in February and currently holds no scheduled fights, leaving the aftermath of this incident open regarding its impact on his professional trajectory.
