Dewar’s contract is valued at an average annual amount of $1.1 million, while Tomasino’s carries a $1.75 million average yearly value. Philip Tomasino’s Recent Performance and Career Highlights
Philip Tomasino, aged 23, played 61 games during the 2024-25 season between the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Nashville Predators. Throughout that period, he recorded 11 goals, 13 assists, and a total of 24 points. After his trade to Pittsburgh on November 25, Tomasino notched career-highs, scoring the fourth-most goals on the team and the second-most game-winning goals, with six to his name. Prior to joining the Penguins, Tomasino spent parts of four years with Nashville’s organization and gained valuable experience in the American Hockey League (AHL) with stints at the Milwaukee Admirals and Chicago Wolves, racking up impressive point totals over 89 games.
Before turning professional, Tomasino was active in the Ontario Hockey League, playing from 2017 to 2020 with the Oshawa Generals and Niagara IceDogs. He also represented Team Canada, achieving a silver medal at the 2021 World Junior Championship and participating in the 2019 World Under-18 Championship. His performance picked up notably after joining Pittsburgh, where he contributed seven points across 17 games. Dewar stands 5-foot-10 and weighs 192 pounds, bringing a versatile presence to the ice. Having competed in parts of four NHL seasons from 2021 through 2025 with Pittsburgh, Toronto, and Minnesota, he has accumulated 53 points over 238 NHL games, setting personal records in the 2023-24 season with 11 goals and 19 points.
In addition to his NHL experience, Dewar has played extensively in the AHL with the Toronto Marlies and Iowa Wild. Across 104 AHL games, he earned 61 points, balancing goals and assists. His earlier hockey development took place in the Western Hockey League, where he played four seasons and served as captain for the Everett Silvertips during his final year. Originally from The Pas, Manitoba, Dewar was drafted in the third round, 92nd overall, by the Minnesota Wild in the 2018 NHL Draft.
