Raiders player and staff converse during team OTAs, focusing on the upcoming season.

Linebacker Devin White, entering his seventh NFL season, has demonstrated strong dedication during the Las Vegas Raiders’ Organized Team Activities (OTAs) as he prepares for his first campaign with the team. White expressed his eagerness to prove his commitment to the new coaching staff and embrace the Raiders’ culture through active participation in voluntary offseason sessions.

“I’ve been taking advantage of the OTAs and everything, the phases, to just come here and work my butt off and just show them that I’m committed, I’m bought in and I appreciate the process,”

White said, via Levi Edwards of the team’s website.

“It ain’t nothing like the process. You start from the bottom, and then you try to work your way up to the top.”

Justin Herbert Highlights Progress with Chargers Under Harbaugh and Roman

Meanwhile, Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert enters his second year working alongside offensive coordinator Greg Roman and head coach Jim Harbaugh. Herbert highlighted the team’s growth in understanding their offensive system and readiness to build upon last season’s performance. He believes the squad has made considerable improvements during the offseason to master the playbook.

“I think it’s just continuing to improve on where we need to and taking what we did well last year and continuing to work on that,”

Herbert said, through Eric Smith of the Chargers’ site.

“Understanding where we fell short, what we need to improve on and taking on that entire body of work from last year and just continuing to improve. I think we’ve got a lot of great film of stuff that we’ve done — route concepts, protections — so guys are comfortable with it. It’s just continuing to get better at that and moving forward.”

Herbert also emphasized the team’s strong mental preparation, noting their progress as crucial to readiness.

“I think we’ve made great strides this offseason. I would say that we’ve gotten a lot better,”

he stated.

“We’re continuing to put in this offense and master and do everything we can to fully understand it. I think from that standpoint, we’re further ahead than where we were last year. There’s a lot of work to do and I think guys have done a great job this offseason of showing up mentally prepared and being focused day in and day out.”

Chiefs Backup QB Gardner Minshew Adds Value to Patrick Mahomes and Team

On another front, Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid praised backup quarterback Gardner Minshew, highlighting his valuable experience in supporting starter Patrick Mahomes. Reid believes Minshew’s past starting experience will benefit the team’s game-day preparations and overall quarterback dynamics.

“He’s been there—he’s started, so he’s got that,”

Reid said during a press conference.

“He’s got the confidence of the guys around him. Patrick knows he’s been in there and done it, so they can bounce things off of each other. It’s always good to have peers that have played, and you can talk to them about it a little bit. I think on gameday he’ll be great with Patrick, just with what he’s seeing from the sideline and what Pat’s seeing when he’s in there.”

Building Momentum: What This Means for the Upcoming NFL Season

Devin White’s active participation in the Raiders’ OTAs signals his readiness to embrace new challenges and contribute at a high level for Las Vegas. His commitment reflects the competitive mentality the team expects as they look to improve their defense. Meanwhile, Justin Herbert’s optimism about the Chargers’ progression indicates potential offensive growth after a foundational first season with Harbaugh and Roman. In Kansas City, the depth added by Gardner Minshew provides quarterback support that could prove vital throughout the demanding NFL schedule. Collectively, these developments highlight the preparation and focus driving several teams forward during the offseason.

As NFL teams finalize their rosters and schemes, players like White balancing personal drive with team goals create an encouraging environment for growth. Fans can anticipate these athletes translating their offseason work into strong performances when the regular season kicks off.
