Travis Kelce Praises Taylor Swift’s Surprise Performance: “She Just Killed It Without Practicing”
Taylor Swift stunned with an impromptu performance at Tight End University, surprising attendees alongside Travis Kelce.

Travis Kelce and his brother Jason continue to capture headlines with their dynamic lives, as Travis maintains his status as one of the NFL’s most popular tight ends while dating global superstar Taylor Swift. Recently, Kelce shared insights about an unexpected highlight at this year’s Tight End University, where Swift delivered an unplanned, flawless musical performance without prior rehearsal.

Unexpected Spotlight at Tight End University

The Kelce brothers co-host the widely popular podcast New Heights, blending football expertise with engaging banter. During a recent episode, they discussed the annual Tight End University event, which Travis helped organize. This year’s gathering featured an unforgettable surprise beyond football—a spontaneous performance from Taylor Swift that left attendees amazed.

Travis described how the moment unfolded without giving exact timing, emphasizing the natural brilliance of Swift’s appearance.

She went out there without practicing. It was pitch perfect and she just killed it,

Travis Kelce said on the podcast.

Jason Kelce set the stage with curiosity about the surprise guest’s involvement.

There was a special guest at Tight End University. How did this come about?

Jason asked.

How Taylor Swift’s Impromptu Performance Came Together

Travis explained the organic way Swift decided to perform, sparked by the atmosphere and the presence of country singer Kane Brown, known for his energetic shows. Swift approached Brown and his band with the idea of jumping on stage for a song to energize the crowd, showcasing her genuine connection with fellow artists and friends.

I won’t say when the idea came up. But we were there at Tight End U with friends, and we saw Kane Brown, who just knows how to put on a show. Tay kind of went up to him and the band and was like, ‘Hey, if you guys are down, I’ll go up there, play a song, and see if we can knock the roof off this place.’ She’s just so good with everybody.

Travis Kelce responded.

Jason reflected on the surprise reaction from everyone present.

It was a surprise nobody saw coming. I know I didn’t. I was like, ‘What the [expletive], Tay’s up there?’

Jason Kelce remarked.

Podcast Success and Cultural Impact

Since launching New Heights in September 2022, the Kelce brothers have expanded their reach far beyond just football fans. The podcast quickly rose to become the top sports podcast in the United States within its first year and ultimately won Best Sports Podcast at the iHeartRadio Awards in 2025. Their blend of NFL stories, brotherly camaraderie, and celebrity moments continues to attract a broad audience, illustrated by Swift’s memorable surprise at Tight End University.

Swift’s unscripted show of support not only amplified the event’s excitement but highlighted the unique intersection of sports and entertainment that the Kelce brothers have cultivated. This unexpected collaboration is likely to boost future events and keep fans eager for what comes next.
