Isack Hadjar, the 20-year-old French rookie, has expressed his eagerness about a possible Isack Hadjar Red Bull F1 promotion, stating he is mentally prepared for the challenge and intrigued by Red Bull’s challenging 2025 car. Hadjar’s ambitions come amid rumors of a move to the senior team, as he continues to impress in his debut Formula 1 season with Racing Bulls, while teammate Yuki Tsunoda faces ongoing struggles.

Hadjar’s Strong Start and Ongoing Ambitions

Hadjar has quickly demonstrated his talent in Formula 1, accumulating points nearly every weekend for Racing Bulls. While Yuki Tsunoda’s difficulties with performance have led some to speculate about an imminent promotion, Red Bull is expected to let Tsunoda finish the 2025 season with the team. Nonetheless, Hadjar remains firm in his original mission, which he set upon joining Red Bull’s junior program four years ago.

“When I signed the contract with Red Bull four years ago, the goal was to get to Red Bull, so it hasn’t changed,”

The young Frenchman also highlighted his genuine interest in personally experiencing the challenges of driving the RB21. He believes a first-hand look would satisfy his curiosity and help his development as a driver.

“It’s definitely interesting. I would obviously love to, out of curiosity, go and have a look for myself.”

Despite his success, Hadjar acknowledged that a move mid-season does not necessarily align with his or the team’s best interests at this stage. He recognizes the value in gaining more experience before stepping up, especially with the complexities of joining the senior squad during an ongoing campaign.

“At the moment, It’s not like I’m in total control; I’m scoring points every weekend,”

“There’s still a lot to learn, so it makes more sense to stay where I’m at at the moment.”

Training His Mindset for a Challenge Against Verstappen

Hadjar is confident in his psychological readiness to take on Max Verstappen as a teammate, though he admits uncertainty about having the technical skills to compete with the four-time world champion. Red Bull team principal Christian Horner has previously emphasized the difficulty of being Verstappen’s teammate, pointing out the relentless pace and consistency required to match such a dominant driver.

“That means you would start the weekend on the back foot all the time. He gets in the rhythm. He’s very explosive. He gets in the rhythm very fast. You always have to make up lap time and try to get there,”

Reflecting on his mental strengths, Hadjar noted that while he feels prepared for the psychological battle, the technical demands remain a question mark for him. He openly shared these thoughts ahead of the British Grand Prix weekend at Silverstone.

“Do I have Verstappen’s skills? I don’t know. I don’t know yet. That’s the thing.”

Potential Impact of Hadjar’s Promotion on Red Bull and F1

If the Isack Hadjar Red Bull F1 promotion occurs in the near future, it could significantly shift the dynamic at the team, especially as Red Bull looks for the ideal teammate to support Verstappen and maintain their competitive edge. Hadjar’s blend of results, maturity, and self-awareness marks him as one of the most intriguing rookies in the F1 paddock. His measured approach to both his career progression and the potential challenges at the top signals promise for his future in Formula 1, with Racing Bulls and Red Bull’s senior team closely monitoring his continued development throughout the season.
