Wesley Bryan, the former PGA Tour winner and prominent YouTuber, is making a striking return to professional golf by joining the DP World Tour. Announced on July 3, 2025, Bryan will compete in the BMW International Open at Golfclub München Eichenried in Munich, Germany, from July 3 to 6, 2025, marking a significant moment in his career revival.
From Collegiate Star to PGA Tour Champion
Wesley Bryan’s professional golf journey began in 2012 following a distinguished run at the University of South Carolina. He quickly rose through the ranks, capturing three victories on the 2016 Web.com Tour, including titles at the Chitimacha Louisiana Open, the El Bosque Mexico Championship, and the Digital Ally Open. These wins earned him the Player of the Year award and full status on the PGA Tour.
His breakthrough on the PGA Tour came in 2017 when Bryan won the RBC Heritage by a narrow one-stroke margin, boosting his world ranking to a career-high 37th. Over the course of 134 PGA Tour starts, Bryan has made 68 cuts, claimed 15 top-10 finishes, and earned more than $5.36 million, showcasing his steady presence on the tour.
Overcoming Injury and Status Challenges
Bryan’s career faced hurdles when a shoulder injury required labrum surgery in January 2019, causing him to miss competitions and eventually lose full PGA Tour status after the 2022 season. Nonetheless, he remained determined, working his way back through the Korn Ferry Tour to regain conditional status on the PGA Tour. Notable recent performances include a tie for eighth at the 2025 Farmers Insurance Open and a runner-up finish at the 2024 Corales Puntacana Championship.
Building a Digital Golfing Empire with the Bryan Bros
Outside the competitive arena, Wesley and his brother George established Bryan Bros Golf in 2014, a YouTube channel specializing in innovative golf content. The channel boasts over 550,000 subscribers and more than 26 million views, featuring trick shots, challenges, live streams of hole-in-one moments, and collaborations with top players such as Rickie Fowler, Collin Morikawa, and Phil Mickelson, creating a unique connection with golf enthusiasts worldwide.
Facing New Beginnings on the DP World Tour
After being suspended by the PGA Tour earlier this year due to participation in the unauthorized LIV Golf Miami event, Bryan is now eager to prove himself on the DP World Tour. His return to competitive golf at the BMW International Open, alongside George Bryan, not only signals a fresh chapter in his playing career but also highlights the Bryan brothers‘ influence within golf’s growing digital and professional spheres.
The duo is poised to blend their competitive spirit with their digital creativity, promising an engaging and dynamic presence on the tour that resonates with fans and fellow golfers alike.
