Eighty First Tee Teens Gear Up for PGA TOUR Champions PURE Insurance Championship at Pebble Beach

Pebble Beach, Calif. – The 2025 PGA TOUR Champions PURE Insurance Championship Impacting First Tee will take place September 19-21 at Pebble Beach Golf Links and Spyglass Hill Golf Course, bringing together 80 outstanding teens from First Tee chapters across the nation along with PGA TOUR Champions professionals. These young golfers, aged 15 to 18, were selected for their exceptional skills and commitment to personal growth through First Tee’s youth development programs.

The tournament, hosted by PURE Insurance and the Monterey Peninsula Foundation, is internationally broadcast on Golf Channel and uniquely combines competition with mentoring opportunities. The teens will compete for the male and female pro-junior titles, gaining valuable experience alongside seasoned PGA TOUR Champions players and business amateurs.

Selection Highlights and Academic Excellence Among First Tee Participants

The 80 juniors chosen represent 48 First Tee chapters nationwide and demonstrate both strong golfing talent and personal development. This year’s group averages a 3.89 GPA and has been involved with First Tee for nearly seven years. Their selection criteria balanced athletic ability and character growth fostered through the organization’s programs.

Dylan Au, a First Tee – Greater Seattle alumnus who took part in the 2024 PURE Insurance Championship with Fred Couples, was featured during the Golf Channel announcement of this year’s field. Au will begin pre-med studies at the University of Washington this fall. Another standout, Marley Pedrique from First Tee – Florida Gold Coast, earned an exemption by placing third at the 2025 First Tee National Championship at the University of Notre Dame in June.
