The 7 Lewis Hamilton F1 Tracks Where Victory Still Eludes the Seven-Time Champion
Lewis Hamilton has yet to secure wins at F1 tracks like Valencia, Korea, and Miami, among others.

Despite Lewis Hamilton’s record-breaking Formula 1 career and his seven World Championships, there remain several circuits where he has yet to secure a win. As of the 2025 British Grand Prix, these Lewis Hamilton F1 tracks without wins represent unique challenges across venues that have come and gone or recently joined the calendar.

French Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours: A Promising Start Without a Victory

During his rookie season, Lewis Hamilton impressed with a third-place finish at Magny-Cours in 2007, marking one of eight consecutive podiums to start his career. However, the French circuit was removed from the Formula 1 calendar after 2008, when Hamilton finished tenth.

Although Hamilton has triumphed at the French Grand Prix since then, those victories came at Circuit Paul Ricard in 2018 and 2019, not at Magny-Cours, where a win continues to evade him after just two entries.

Valencia Street Circuit in Spain: Multiple Podiums but No Top Spot

From 2008 to 2012, Valencia hosted the European Grand Prix on its challenging street circuit. Overtaking was difficult, but Hamilton managed three consecutive second-place finishes from 2008 through 2010. Despite this consistency, he never claimed victory here.

Race wins at Valencia were shared between Felipe Massa, Rubens Barrichello, Sebastian Vettel, and Fernando Alonso, with Vettel winning more than once before the venue was dropped from the calendar in 2012.

Korea International Circuit: Close but No Win in Yeongam

The Korea International Circuit, designed by Hermann Tilke and located in Yeongam, appeared on the F1 calendar between 2010 and 2013. Hamilton secured two second-place finishes, once behind Fernando Alonso in 2010 and once behind Sebastian Vettel in 2011.

Subsequent finishes of fifth and tenth followed before the circuit was removed, leaving Hamilton winless at the South Korean venue after four entries.

Buddh International Circuit in India: No Podiums During Brief F1 Tenure

Scheduled for three races between 2011 and 2013, the Buddh International Circuit marked Formula 1’s entrance into India. Hamilton’s best result was a fourth place in 2012, without ever reaching the podium at this track.

His other performances included seventh in the inaugural race and sixth in the final event held. The circuit has not hosted F1 since, although it held a MotoGP event in 2023.

Zandvoort Circuit in the Netherlands: Facing Verstappen’s Dominance

F1 returned to Zandvoort in 2021, bringing in innovative banking and upgrades that made it FIA Grade 1 standard. Max Verstappen has largely dominated this venue, winning three consecutive races from 2021 to 2023.

Hamilton’s closest challenge was a second-place finish in 2021 during an intense title battle with Verstappen, followed by further attempts without a victory. Zandvoort will remain on the calendar only until 2026, providing Hamilton just two more opportunities to claim a first win here.

Miami International Autodrome: A Hindered Start at a New Venue

The Miami Grand Prix began in 2022 around Hard Rock Stadium, aiming to expand Formula 1’s footprint in the United States. Hamilton struggled during the first race amid Mercedes’ porpoising problems on the long back straight.

Despite four races held so far, Hamilton’s best finishes are three sixth places and a Sprint podium in 2025, making Miami the only current circuit on which he has yet to reach the podium in a full Grand Prix event.

Las Vegas Strip Circuit: Rising Through the Field but No Win Yet

Formula 1’s return to Las Vegas in 2023 came with an eye-catching new circuit layout featuring the famous Strip. Hamilton started 10th in 2024 but delivered a strong performance to finish second behind teammate George Russell.

After finishing seventh in 2023, he still has the chance to earn his first win here, with the race scheduled to be held again later in 2025.

These seven tracks highlight the varied challenges Lewis Hamilton faces despite his illustrious career marked by consistent victories and championships shared with Michael Schumacher. The diversity of circuits—ranging from now-defunct venues like Magny-Cours and Yeongam to recent additions such as Miami and Las Vegas—demonstrates the evolving landscape of Formula 1 and the ongoing pursuit of success by one of its greatest drivers.

With some venues soon exiting the calendar and others offering fresh opportunities, Hamilton’s quest to conquer all these remaining circuits remains an intriguing storyline in the 2025 season and beyond.
