MOORESVILLE, N.C. (July 26, 2025) – JR Motorsports celebrated its 100th victory in the NASCAR Xfinity Series today, becoming only the fourth team to surpass this milestone. With this achievement, the team is one win shy of tying Richard Childress Racing for third place on the series’ all-time wins list, trailing only Roush Fenway Racing and Joe Gibbs Racing.
Connor Zilisch secured the landmark 100th win, edging out former JR Motorsports driver Sam Mayer after a chaotic three-lap sprint to the iconic “yard of bricks.” This victory marked Zilisch’s third consecutive win and sixth overall in the series, all earned driving for JRM, further cementing the team’s recent dominance.
Historic First Victory and Early Successes for JR Motorsports
The first win for JR Motorsports came on March 1, 2008, when NASCAR Hall of Famer Mark Martin triumphed at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Driving a Delphi-sponsored Chevrolet, Martin led 81 laps and secured victory, launching the team’s journey toward 100 wins.
Later that year, Brad Keselowski captured his first career victory for JRM at Nashville Superspeedway, holding off David Stremme. This race was notable not just for Keselowski’s breakthrough but also for introducing the U.S. Navy as a key sponsor for the organization, signaling important partnerships ahead.

Dramatic Daytona Finish and Championship Breakthroughs
Regan Smith’s victory at Daytona International Speedway to open the 2014 season stands out for its drama and significance. Winning by just 0.013 seconds over teammate Keselowski, this marked the end of a lengthy winless stretch for the team. The triumph also kicked off a championship season, with Chase Elliott winning three races that year and claiming JRM’s first NASCAR Xfinity Series title.
In 2015, Chase Elliott secured JRM’s 25th victory at Richmond Raceway, a milestone that also doubled as Chevrolet’s 400th win in the Xfinity Series. Though it was Elliott’s only win that season, it helped demonstrate the rising profile of both the driver and the team.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. Delivers Victory as Owner-Driver
In 2016, team owner Dale Earnhardt Jr. earned his first win as a driver for JR Motorsports at Richmond Raceway, showcasing his signature competitiveness. Driving the No. 88 Chevrolet sponsored by Hellmann’s and Blessings in a Backpack, Earnhardt Jr. dominated the race by leading 128 out of 149 laps.
This victory also supported charitable efforts, with the win helping to raise funds for children facing food insecurity through The Dale Jr. Foundation’s partnership with Hellmann’s.
Tyler Reddick’s Record-Setting Season for JRM
Tyler Reddick joined JR Motorsports in 2018 and made immediate impact by winning the season opener at Daytona in a photo finish separated by just 0.0004 seconds over teammate Elliott Sadler, the closest finish in series history. Reddick added another key win later that year, capturing the playoff finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway by passing Cole Custer on the high line and securing JRM’s third NASCAR Xfinity Series championship.
Justin Allgaier’s Milestone Victory and Consistency
Justin Allgaier, a consistent team member since 2016, recorded JRM’s 50th win at Richmond Raceway during the challenging 2020 season. Remarkably, Allgaier won on back-to-back days, first driving a Chevrolet sponsored by FilterTime and then a BRANDT Professional Agriculture Camaro. With 25 career victories for JRM, including three in the current season, Allgaier is the team’s all-time leader in wins.
Noah Gragson’s Four Consecutive Wins Spark Momentum
Noah Gragson, who totaled 13 wins for JR Motorsports during his tenure, made headlines with four straight victories in 2022. Starting at Darlington Raceway, he then triumphed consecutively at Kansas Speedway, Bristol Motor Speedway in a night race, and Texas Motor Speedway, showcasing masterful driving and contributing significantly to JRM’s win total.
Sam Mayer’s Strong Performances Fuel JRM’s Rise
Sam Mayer earned the team’s 75th victory on July 29, 2023, at his hometown track, Road America. Mayer led only the final two laps but secured his first NASCAR Xfinity Series win. Following that, Mayer won three more times on road courses at Watkins Glen and Charlotte’s Roval and captured his first oval victory at Homestead-Miami Speedway. His surge propelled him into the Championship 4 at Phoenix, highlighting his role as a rising star within JRM.
JR Motorsports Looks Ahead to Breaking More Records
Reaching 100 NASCAR Xfinity Series wins positions JR Motorsports among the elite teams in series history, with the opportunity to surpass Richard Childress Racing soon. The combination of veteran leaders like Justin Allgaier and young talents such as Connor Zilisch and Sam Mayer continues to fuel the team’s hopeful and confident momentum. With a track record of intense competition, strategic partnerships, and championship victories, JRM is poised to add more wins and titles as the season progresses.
