NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Tennessee Titans wide receiver Treylon Burks suffered a right shoulder injury during a practice session at Nissan Stadium on Saturday after making a diving catch out of bounds. Burks immediately grabbed his shoulder and was escorted to the locker room by the team’s medical staff for evaluation.

Team Statement and Initial Injury Report

Coach Brian Callahan confirmed that Burks was undergoing tests for the shoulder injury, stating,

“We’ll have an update on his status at the appropriate time.”

NFL Network later reported that Burks sustained a broken collarbone and would require further medical examinations.

Burks’ Career and Injury History

Selected 18th overall in the 2022 NFL Draft, Burks was Tennessee’s first-round pick acquired through trading Pro Bowl wide receiver A.J. Brown to Philadelphia. Since joining the Titans from Arkansas, Burks has struggled with injuries, missing multiple games across his three seasons. He has played in 27 games, starting 17, and recorded 53 receptions for 699 yards and one touchdown.

In 2022, Burks was sidelined for two games after a concussion sustained on a touchdown catch against Philadelphia. In 2023, he was carted off with a concussion after a leaping attempt in a loss to Pittsburgh. Most recently, he returned to training camp healthy after recovering from a partially torn ACL that placed him on injured reserve last October.

Implications and What to Expect Next

Burks’ latest shoulder injury adds to a series of physical setbacks that have limited his playing time and development with the Titans. The team’s medical staff and coaches will closely monitor his recovery to determine his availability for the upcoming season. This situation also places increased pressure on emerging players such as rookie quarterback Cam Ward, who is expected to take on more responsibility during camp as the Titans rebuild their roster.
