Layne Riggs took a commanding victory at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park last Friday, delivering a powerful performance that saw him lead 160 of the 200 laps and sweep both stages. With the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series on break until its next race at Watkins Glen International on August 8, Riggs has time to reflect on his achievement.

Describing his truck’s performance, Riggs said,

“The entire team … brought me a rocket ship.”

After crossing the finish line, he shared a personal connection to the venue, explaining,

“This track is special to me. I made my first Truck Series start here in 2022 and my dad ran his first Truck Series race here back in 1999.”

He added,

“To come full circle and grab the win here is just really cool.”
