Audi F1 partners with Revolut for innovative operations and fan experiences, aiming for motorsport success in 2026.

The Audi F1 team announced a new partnership with Revolut, establishing the digital banking giant as the title sponsor starting from the 2026 Formula 1 season. This collaboration will feature Revolut’s integration into numerous aspects of the team’s operations, including financial processes and enhancing fan interactions such as merchandise purchase experiences.

Audi’s Ambitious Entry into Formula 1 with New Power Unit Regulations

Audi is preparing to make a significant debut in Formula 1 under the 2026 power unit regulations by forming its own works team following the acquisition of Sauber. For the first time, the German manufacturer will build its own F1 engine, which will be developed in Germany. The team’s chassis development and race operations will remain based in Switzerland at Sauber’s established facility, while a new technology hub will be launched in the UK.

Strong Performance Sets the Stage for Audi’s Future F1 Campaign

In 2025, the team, before rebranding as Audi, is currently experiencing its most successful independent season since 2018, having earned 43 points and achieved a notable podium finish with driver Nico Hulkenberg at the British Grand Prix. Both Hulkenberg and rookie Gabriel Bortoleto, who joined this season, are contracted to continue with the team for 2026 under the Audi banner.

Shared Vision Between Audi F1 and Revolut Drives Partnership

Jonathan Wheatley, the team principal who joined from Red Bull in 2024, highlighted the alignment between Audi F1 and Revolut’s innovative and ambitious ethos. He emphasized that this partnership goes beyond a typical sponsorship agreement, representing a strategic alliance aimed at challenging traditional formulas within motorsport.

This is a monumental partnership for Revolut and the future Audi F1 Team,

Revolut CEO Nik Storonsky said.

We’re accelerating towards 100 million customers, and we’ll be bringing them into Formula 1 with unforgettable experiences at a pivotal time for the sport.

As Revolut continues to challenge the status quo in global finance, the future Audi F1 Team is set to do the same in motorsport.

With Revolut, we have found a true partner that shares our core ethos of innovation and relentless ambition,

Wheatley stated.

This is more than a brand fit; it is a strategic alliance engineered to challenge conventions in motorsport.

From 2026, Revolut’s digital-first solutions will power key areas of our operations while also redefining how fans and communities engage with our team – delivering a seamless and engaging experience on and off the track.

Audi’s Leadership Welcomes Global Reach of Revolut

Audi AG CEO Gernot Dollner expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, recognizing Revolut’s broad international presence and innovative mindset as ideal for Audi’s Formula 1 ambitions. Dollner framed Audi’s F1 entry as both a technological platform and a sustainable economic investment for the brand’s future.

Audi is entering Formula 1 with a clear ambition: to use the platform as a technologically relevant and economically sustainable investment in the future of the Audi brand,

Dollner explained.

We firmly believe in the success of our project, which we are approaching with a realistic attitude and a mindset of continuous improvement.

In Revolut, we have found a partner that shares our ambitions and attitude. Formula 1 is a global stage that offers us the opportunity to reach new target groups together and generate enthusiasm for our products.

Revolut’s Expansion Amplified Through High-Profile Sponsorship

This sponsorship deal represents one of Revolut’s largest global marketing initiatives, reflecting rapid growth since its founding in the UK in 2015. Now serving more than 60 million customers worldwide, Revolut is poised to leverage the Audi F1 team partnership to expand its brand awareness and customer engagement on a global scale.

Outlook for the Future of Audi F1 and Revolut Collaboration

As Audi prepares to officially launch its factory team in Formula 1 in 2026 alongside Revolut, the partnership is set to influence how technology and finance integrate within motorsport. The collaboration aims to generate innovative fan experiences while pushing the boundaries of operational efficiency, underscoring both brands’ commitment to continuous development and ambitious growth.
