WNBA Star Rickea Jackson Unveils Skechers Basketball Shoes Built for Speed and Stability
Rickea Jackson launches SKX Full-Court Press Skechers basketball shoes, offering speed, stability, and style for court dominance.

In 2024, Los Angeles Sparks forward Rickea Jackson signed a multi-year sneaker deal with Skechers, becoming the first WNBA player to represent the brand. Since then, she has played a significant role in advancing Skechers’ basketball line, most recently helping to introduce the SKX Full-Court Press.

The SKX Full-Court Press, designed for athletes who excel under pressure and control the game from start to finish, debuted with Jackson wearing the shoe at the beginning of the 2025 WNBA season. This new performance basketball shoe aims to offer a blend of speed, stability, and comfort essential for competitive play.

Technical Features Highlight Performance and Style

The initial release of the SKX Full-Court Press includes two striking colorways: a sleek white with blue accents and a bold pink option. These versions are available starting today on Skechers.com for $110 in adult sizes, with more color choices expected later this fall. Besides its on-court performance, the design focuses on visual appeal, making the shoe a versatile option for everyday wear.

Key technological elements include a wraparound TPU Versa Wing integrated into the midsole, providing outstanding stability. This feature is enhanced by the ultra-lightweight Skechers Move Foam, which adds cushioning without compromising responsiveness. The outsole employs a Goodyear rubber compound in a herringbone tread pattern, offering excellent traction for quick directional changes during fast-paced play.

Player and Executive Insights on the SKX Full-Court Press

Jackson described the shoe as perfectly suited to her playing style, stating,

“Skechers has the comfort and performance down, but I really love this shoe because it’s tuned to my style of play—fast, fluid, and explosive.”

She also highlighted its off-court appeal:

“And off the court, they look good too, so you feel confident as soon as you lace up. So many players will appreciate that you just transform into a pressure machine with the SKX Full Court Press. It’s amazing.”

Ben Stewart, Vice President of Skechers Technical Performance Division, emphasized the shoe’s design intent:

“We designed the SKX Full-Court Press for players who work every inch of the court to change a game’s momentum and earn that win at the final buzzer.”

Stewart also praised Jackson’s role in the launch:

“Rickea is the perfect player to help us launch the SKX Full-Court Press. She’s the first WNBA player on our team and exudes confidence under pressure both on and off the court, as fans will see in her new Skechers Basketball campaign.”

Ongoing Buzz in the Sneaker Industry

Alongside Rickea Jackson’s partnership, Skechers has expanded its roster with signings like Jackie Young and OG Anunoby, indicating a growing focus on basketball athletes. Meanwhile, other major sneaker news includes the upcoming release of the Nike Kobe x FC Barcelona collection and LeBron James’ discreet testing of the Nike LeBron 23. The Nike A’One sneaker also recently launched in ‘Team Bank’ colorways, adding to the competitive market landscape.

The introduction of the SKX Full-Court Press bolsters Skechers’ position in basketball footwear, especially as it leverages the visibility and talent of Rickea Jackson. This collaboration highlights the brand’s commitment to developing shoes that meet the demands of today’s dynamic players, promising exciting developments for athletes and fans alike in the coming seasons.
