Garage 66 confirmed that Josh Bilicki will drive the team’s No. 66 car in the NASCAR Cup Series race, Go Bowling at the Glen, held at Watkins Glen International on August 10. Southern Tier Security, Inc., a company based in western and central New York providing emergency response and security services, will be the primary sponsor for this event.
Southern Tier Security offers a wide range of security solutions including event management, long-term security plans, and security camera sales and service. This partnership will mark Garage 66’s first NASCAR Cup Series race at Watkins Glen International.
Josh Bilicki’s Return to Watkins Glen and Team Performance
Josh Bilicki will compete at Watkins Glen for the fifth time in the NASCAR Cup Series, returning after his last appearance in 2023. In the previous year’s NASCAR Xfinity Series race at this road course, Bilicki finished in 10th place, demonstrating strong capabilities on this track.
Watkins Glen is one of my favorite tracks on the schedule, and I’m thrilled to be back in the Cup Series with Garage 66,
Bilicki stated.
We’ve had strong runs together on road courses this year, and I’m confident we can build on that momentum. I’m also excited to welcome Southern Tier Security to the team. It’s always special to represent a local company at their home track.
Since the beginning of the 2024 season, this will be Bilicki’s ninth start with Garage 66 and his fourth competing on a road course. His most recent road course race was at the Chicago Street Course, where he finished 21st.
