Tiger Woods’ Latest Golf Course Design Unveils Mountain Magic in Utah’s Marcella Club
Tiger Woods unveils his latest golf course design in Utah, blending challenging play with stunning mountain views at Marcella Club.

Tiger Woods is advancing his latest golf course design at the Marcella Club in Park City, Utah, where the scenic mountain environment is beginning to reveal its special qualities. This project marks Woods’ first mountain golf course and introduces his TGR Design team’s distinct touch to Utah, combining natural beauty with thoughtful course challenges.

Progress on the Marcella Club Mountain Course

Recently, Tiger Woods and his TGR Design staff visited the site to review the course as it takes shape along Jordanelle Ridge. The project offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Uinta Mountains, Jordanelle Reservoir, Heber Valley, Deer Valley Resort, and Mount Timpanogos. Woods captured these moments in an Instagram video, where he and the design team walked the emerging layout, signaling ongoing development with the note, “to be continued.”

In his caption, Woods reflected on the creative process behind the design:

“Designing is a mindset — then the magic shows up. And there’s no shortage of it out here at Bluejack Ranch.” —Tiger Woods, TGR Design

The course was first revealed in February 2023 and will be the cornerstone of the private Marcella Club. Its design incorporates large, open landing zones that accommodate varying player skill levels, while demanding strategic positioning for advanced golfers. The greens will feature different shapes and sizes with meticulously maintained surrounds, providing opportunities for challenging recovery shots.

This layout combines wide-ranging mountain vistas with intimate, quiet valleys nestled between ridges to create a distinctive and engaging golfing experience. It is crafted not only as a test for low-handicap players seeking challenge but also as an inviting venue for families and casual golfers. Woods’s partnership with Marcella Club aims to deliver an exceptional golf destination in the Mountain West region.

Highlights of TGR Design’s Notable Courses

El Cardonal at Diamante (Cabo San Lucas, Mexico): As the inaugural TGR project, El Cardonal launched in 2015. The course is known for integrating the rugged coastal terrain with thoughtfully crafted holes.

The Oasis Short Course (Mexico): Part of the Diamante resort complex, this 12-hole par-3 course offers flexibility, functioning either as a full short course or as a smaller 3-hole loop that includes a par 3, par 4, and par 5.

Jack’s Bay (Eleuthera, Bahamas): A 10-hole short course called The Playground, designed to provide a playful golf experience on the island of Eleuthera.
