
Christopher Bell posted the quickest lap during Saturday’s NASCAR Cup Series practice at Iowa Speedway, clocking in at 23.511 seconds as he aims for his fourth victory of the 2025 season. The Iowa Corn 350, set to take place on Sunday, will be a vital race for Bell and the other drivers as they compete on this challenging circuit.
Top Performers and Notable Practice Results
Following Bell, Brickyard 400 winner Bubba Wallace secured second-fastest time, with Chase Briscoe, Daytona 500 champion William Byron, and Kyle Larson completing the top five. Tyler Reddick, Alex Bowman, Brad Keselowski, Chase Elliott, and Denny Hamlin rounded out the top 10 runners in practice.
Among other key participants, Ty Gibbs was 14th-fastest, while defending Iowa winner Ryan Blaney placed 15th. Ross Chastain appeared 18th, and Ryan Preece and Joey Logano landed further back, at 29th and 36th respectively.
Challenges and Incidents During Practice
Kyle Busch recorded the 17th-fastest lap but will start at the rear of the field after a significant crash during practice that forced him into a backup car. Drivers Tyler Reddick, Kyle Larson, and Denny Hamlin struggled with loose conditions throughout the session, though Hamlin was the only one to make contact with the outside wall.
Joey Gase had the slowest practice time, ranking 37th overall.
