Taylor Fritz’s Girlfriend Steals His Wardrobe in Style as He Storms Canadian Open Semifinals
Taylor Fritz advances to Canadian Open semifinal, supported by girlfriend Morgan Riddle's fashionable presence despite wardrobe challenges.

Morgan Riddle, girlfriend of American tennis player Taylor Fritz, has been showing her support from the stands as Fritz advances to the Canadian Open semifinal in Toronto. As Fritz, the tournament’s second seed, reached his second Masters 1000 semifinal of 2025, Riddle took the opportunity to update her wardrobe to keep up with the demanding schedule and unexpected stay.

The couple, who met through a dating app in 2020 and strengthened their bond during the pandemic, have become well-known in the tennis community. While Fritz impresses with his on-court skills, Riddle creates digital content combining fashion and travel that highlights the lives of professional athletes.

During the tournament, Riddle playfully revealed she had been borrowing many of Fritz’s clothes to wear to his matches. She shared on her Instagram story a photo captioned:

” Me, taylor boss clothes that I’ve been wearing for the last three matches,” wrote Morgan

Initially unprepared for her trip to Toronto, Riddle went on a shopping spree to refresh her wardrobe, explaining the challenge of packing for an unplanned visit:

” i was not planning on coming to toronto & all i have with me are boating outfits and sequins from france so shopping day it is” wrote Morgan

Taylor Fritz’s Performance at the Canadian Open Builds Momentum

Taylor Fritz enters the Canadian Open semifinal after a strong series of wins over Roberto Carballes Baena, Matteo Arnaldi, Jiri Lehecka, and sixth-seeded Andrey Rublev, who he defeated 6-3, 7-6 (4) in the quarterfinals. His consistent play here marks a positive step as he prepares for the upcoming US Open.

Fritz will face either Ben Shelton or Alex de Minaur in the semifinal match scheduled for August 6, aiming to continue his surge in this tournament located in Toronto.

Preparation and Goals Ahead of the US Open

Fritz is focused on sharpening his form ahead of the US Open, where he notably finished as runner-up last year after losing to Jannik Sinner in the final. His recent hard-court season began with a narrow quarterfinal exit at the Citi DC Open, where he fell to Alejandro Davidovich Fokina in a close three-set battle.

Playing an intense schedule before Grand Slam events has proven beneficial for Fritz; ahead of Wimbledon this year, he competed in three consecutive tournaments, winning titles in both Stuttgart and Eastbourne. This approach helped him reach his best Wimbledon performance to date, advancing to the semifinals before losing to Carlos Alcaraz.

Fritz aims to build on this momentum with strong showings on North American hard courts, making his performance in the Canadian Open semifinals a crucial part of his preparation for major competitions this season.
