The Green Bay Packers have signed wide receiver Isaiah Neyor, marking a roster change that coincides with offensive tackle Travis Glover being placed on injured reserve after a recent shoulder injury. Neyor was waived earlier this week by the San Francisco 49ers before joining the Packers.

Isaiah Neyor’s College Career and Performance

At 24 years old, Neyor began his collegiate career at Wyoming, earning second-team All-Mountain West honors in 2021. He later transferred to Texas but played limited games due to injuries, ultimately finishing his college tenure at Nebraska. Over five years and 23 games, Neyor accumulated 69 receptions for 1,417 yards along with 16 touchdowns, showcasing his potential as a wide receiver.

Travis Glover’s Background and Current Status

Travis Glover, also 24, was a standout five-year starter at Georgia State, earning invitations to the Hula Bowl and Senior Bowl. He was selected by Green Bay in the sixth round of the 2024 <a href="https://www.buzzineintl.com/category/football/nfl/”>NFL Draft, 202nd overall. Glover signed a four-year rookie contract worth approximately $4.19 million, including a signing bonus of $171,380. He appeared in seven games for the Packers during the 2024 season before being sidelined due to his shoulder injury.

Implications for the Packers Moving Forward

The move to place Travis Glover on injured reserve reflects the team’s need to adjust the roster as they cope with injuries on the offensive line. Adding Neyor brings additional depth to the wide receiver position, potentially providing new offensive options. The Packers will look to manage these changes carefully as they progress through the season.
