During a post-practice session on Thursday, quarterback Patrick Mahomes took on a unique test by throwing passes while blindfolded, a challenge he had never attempted before. Coaches, coordinators, and teammates watched as Mahomes and staff engaged in this lighthearted competition, which highlighted the quarterback’s talent and competitive nature.
Although hitting targets without sight proved difficult, Mahomes exhibited both enthusiasm and willingness to push boundaries. This exercise served as a fun warm-up ahead of the Chiefs’ first preseason game against the Cardinals.
Chiefs Plan to Feature All Quarterbacks in Saturday’s Game
Andy Reid disclosed that all the team’s quarterbacks will see playing time in Saturday’s matchup versus Arizona. Each quarterback will play approximately one quarter, giving coaches a chance to evaluate everyone under game conditions.

Reid said.
The first one will be Pat, the second will be [quarterback Gardner] Minshew, then [quarterback Bailey] Zappe, then [quarterback] Chris [Oladokun] at the end there. Each one will get a quarter, and then everybody [else] follows that as we go.
