Stefon Diggs shows impressive ACL recovery progress, already making plays and feeling rejuvenated ahead of the new season.

Stefon Diggs is making impressive strides in his ACL recovery, according to former Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman, who observed that Diggs is ahead of schedule as the team prepares for the upcoming season. During a recent visit to the Patriots’ training camp, Edelman highlighted the encouraging developments regarding the wide receiver’s healing process.

On the latest episode of the podcast Dudes On Dudes, Edelman shared his thoughts on Diggs’ progress, stating:

“Diggs made some big plays. He’s looking good. He’s seven months out of ACL surgery.”

Rob Gronkowski, Edelman’s co-host on the show, also weighed in on Diggs’ recovery, noting:

“Feels like he’s going to get better as the year goes on as well. Like, just to be seven months and already out there making some plays, like you’re just going to keep amping it up.”

Edelman further emphasized the wide receiver’s rapid improvement:

“So, like, he’s already, I feel, ahead of schedule. He looked pretty good.”

Last season, Diggs played with the Houston Texans before suffering the ACL tear in Week 8. His performance that year reflected the injury’s impact, as he posted his lowest per-game statistics since 2017, with 47 receptions, 496 yards, and three touchdowns. Despite this setback, he has now been medically cleared to participate fully in the Patriots’ training sessions, signaling solid physical recovery.

Stefon Diggs Shares Thoughts on His Recovery and New Outlook

In a recent interview with Kay Adams on the show Up & Adams, Diggs opened up about how his recovery has affected his physical and mental state. He remarked:

“I’m feeling young again. It’s been a little breath of fresh air, getting back to playing football. It’s been like eight months. I’m just happy to be around here sweating, running around, getting tired.”

Diggs also credited lifestyle changes as a key factor behind his renewed energy and improved well-being, explaining:

“Drinking the right water. A lot of fruit, a lot of vegetables. They say the older you get, the healthier you gotta eat. I’ve been feeling a little better than I used to.”

Looking beyond recovery, Diggs expressed determination to finish his career on the right note, sharing his commitment to continued performance on the field:

“It’s time to finish this thing off right. I think I got a lot more football to play.”

As Diggs prepares for his 11th NFL season, he faces the challenge of returning to peak form after injury, aiming to maintain health and consistency. His progress at the Patriotscamp and mindset heading into the season suggest a readiness to contribute significantly to the team’s success.
