Corey Heim’s Competitive Monopoly Clash with Girlfriend Reveals Fiery Side Beyond NASCAR Tracks

Corey Heim, currently leading the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series with six wins, 11 top-five finishes, and 13 top-10s, extends his competitive nature beyond racing. Known for his success in various racing formats such as legend cars, Super Late Models, and ARCA, Heim’s determination clearly shines off the track as well, particularly during intense games of Monopoly with his girlfriend, Taylor Reimer.

Monopoly Battles Turn into Heated Exchanges

During a recent sit-down with Jeff Gluck for the 12 Questions segment, Heim shared how his rivalry with Reimer in Monopoly often escalates into tense moments. The two are both highly competitive, and their matches quickly become contests of strategy and willpower. Heim recounted a significant dispute involving a missed rent payment in the game.

He explained a particular moment where he failed to charge Taylor rent for landing on his property.

“There was one instance where I went to go check my phone, and I forgot to charge her rent for being on my property. And I’m like, ‘Hey, weren’t you on my property?’ And she’s like, ‘Yeah, but you weren’t paying attention. You have to tell me that I owe you money for rent.’”

Heim described their argument over the rules:

And I’m like, ‘What? That’s not how a board game works. If you’re on my property, you pay me rent.’ She’s like, ‘No, you weren’t paying attention.’ So, the next time comes around, and I was on some other person’s property, and I was doing everything I could to make sure they didn’t know I was on it, and they forgot.

Heim’s rivalry with Taylor took another twist when she called him out on being upset about her earlier claiming exemption from rent. He said,

And she called me out on it because I got so worked up when she was on my property! I was like, ‘Taylor, you can’t be a hypocrite. You just did the same thing!’ And she’s like, ‘Well, you’re a hypocrite because you got mad about it.’ So that is part of the game, I guess.

Upcoming Race at Richmond Builds on Momentum

Coming off his recent victory at Watkins Glen, Heim is preparing for the upcoming race at Richmond Speedway on Friday night, August 15, at 7:30 p.m. ET. In his three previous starts at Richmond, he has earned one top-five and one top-10 finish. Given his current form, the 23-year-old driver for Tricon Garage is expected to be a strong contender on the short track once again.
