Ty Dillon NASCAR contract negotiations near conclusion, with Kaulig Racing likely to re-sign him for the 2026 season.

Ty Dillon is nearing a final decision on his NASCAR contract renewal with Kaulig Racing as the team aims to maintain a stable driver lineup for the 2026 Cup Series season. After competing in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series last year, Dillon returned to the Cup Series in 2025, driving the No. 10 car for Kaulig Racing, with ongoing negotiations expected to wrap up soon.

Progress in Contract Discussions and Team’s Future Plans

Kaulig Racing has shown strong interest in retaining Ty Dillon for the next season, reflecting the team‘s desire for consistency in its driver roster. Despite a season of mixed results for Dillon, expectations that he would struggle significantly against competitors have not materialized, as he has at times been a contender in several races. Chris Rice, president of Kaulig Racing, recently commented on the ongoing contract discussions and indicated a timeline for resolution.

“We are still in negotiations. I think by Friday, we will 100% know. We are real close to having Ty’s deal done again for 26′. We feel like he’s done a good job. He’s had some ups and downs, but he hasn’t done what everybody thought he was gonna do, ‘Run around last and be way off the pace’. He’s actually been in contention at some races,” Rice said via SiriusXM radio.

Ty Dillon’s Standout Performance in NASCAR’s In-Season Challenge

This summer, Dillon emerged as a surprising competitor during NASCAR‘s inaugural In-Season Challenge. Entering the contest as the 32nd seed, he managed to reach the final round at the Indianapolis race, proving his capability and resilience on the track. This achievement has added to his profile leading into contract talks, and it has bolstered hopes for his continued role with Kaulig Racing.

It’s an iconic brand that’s become synonymous with innovation and fan engagement, offering a responsible and entertaining way for fans to get even more invested in the action. I’m proud to have DraftKings on the No. 10 Chevrolet, and honored to have them join us this season,” Dillon said via Toby Christie.

Current Standings and Upcoming Race Prospects

Currently ranked 32nd in the NASCAR Cup Series standings with 355 points, Ty Dillon is preparing for the upcoming event at Richmond Raceway. As the season heads toward its conclusion, Dillon is focused on improving his results and ending the year on a positive note for himself and Kaulig Racing.

Outlook for 2026 and Impact on Kaulig Racing

The contract discussions between Dillon and Kaulig Racing are pivotal for both parties as the team aims to establish stability in its driver lineup for 2026.
