In a corresponding roster shift, Atlanta optioned right-handers Hunter Stratton and Daysbel Hernandez back to Triple-A Gwinnett. These moves signal the team’s intention to bolster their pitching depth as the season progresses.

Player Profiles and Recent Performance Details

Jake Fraley, 30, had been designated for assignment by Cincinnati on Sunday after spending four seasons with the Reds. This season, Fraley recorded a .232 batting average with six home runs and 23 RBIs across 67 games. Over his career, which includes time with the Seattle Mariners from 2019 to 2021, Fraley holds a .247 average with 47 home runs and 179 RBIs in 459 games.

Dane Dunning, also 30, has made nine relief appearances this season split between the Texas Rangers and Braves. Since joining Atlanta in a July 18 trade, he has posted a 14.29 ERA in four outings. Throughout six major league seasons with the Chicago White Sox, Rangers, and Braves, Dunning carries a 28-32 win-loss record and a 4.43 ERA across 133 appearances, 102 of which were starts.

Connor Seabold, 29, is preparing to pitch for Atlanta for the first time after being claimed from the Tampa Bay Rays on August 10. Over four major league seasons with three teams, he has appeared in 36 games, including 19 starts, compiling a 1-11 record and a 7.73 ERA.

Hunter Stratton, 28, has pitched in six relief appearances this year between the Pirates and Braves, posting a 7.27 ERA. Daysbel Hernandez, also 28, previously recorded a solid 4-2 record with a 2.72 ERA over 38 relief appearances for Atlanta in the current season.
