Leonard Williams calls out trash-talking Packers players, telling them to "go finish rehab" after joint practice brawl.

The Seattle Seahawks and the Green Bay Packers faced off in a tense joint practice session on Thursday afternoon in Wisconsin, ahead of their preseason game at Lambeau Field on Saturday. What started with drills near the Seattle offense’s Red Zone quickly escalated into multiple on-field altercations, including a bench-clearing brawl after Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker III scored a touchdown. Simultaneously, another fight erupted on the opposite end involving the Seahawks’ defense and the Packers’ offense.

No Serious Injuries but Tensions Remain High

Fortunately, none of the scuffles caused serious injuries, and team officials managed to break up the confrontations quickly. Despite the physicality, players exchanged sharp remarks and banter, particularly Leonard Williams, a defensive lineman for Seattle. After practice wrapped up, some injured Packers players who were not suited up for drills tried to provoke Seattle’s players further by crossing onto the Seahawks’ bench area.

Leonard Williams Responds to Injured Packers Players on Seahawks’ Sideline

Williams openly expressed surprise and frustration at the actions of the sidelined Packers players attempting to trash-talk and rile up the Seahawks after practice had ended. His reaction was blunt and pointed, challenging the injured men’s presence on Seattle’s side of the field.

Williams told reporters directly,

I didn’t appreciate, in general, them coming to our sideline when practice is over and we’ve already broken our team huddle,

adding,

It’s hard with joint practices because stuff like that always happens.

When asked about the injured players crossing over, Williams yelled,

“Who are you? Go finish rehab.”

Upcoming Game Expected to Be Less Contentious

Though tensions flared during practice, the teams are set to face each other in a preseason game on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Lambeau Field. Following Thursday’s physical and verbal exchanges, the upcoming kickoff is expected to be less volatile. Both sides will likely focus on gameplay rather than confrontations as the preseason progresses.

Significance of Practice Incident and Next Steps

The heated brawl and Williams’ direct callout of injured Packers players highlight the competitive edge and underlying frustrations during joint NFL practices. Such confrontations often happen in these sessions, reflecting the intensity players bring even before official games. How the emotions from this incident influence the teams’ performance and interactions during Saturday’s matchup remains to be seen, but the episode underscores the fierce rivalry developing between Seattle and Green Bay as preseason action continues.
